ISO122: Board layout of ISO122

Part Number: ISO122
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1411, AMC1400

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am designing isolation amplifier circuit using ISO122JU.

Due to board size constraints, I am considering layouting two ISO122JUs in the same position on the front and back of the board.

I would like to confirm whether there is any risk of affecting the operation of each ISO122JU (including signal noise) in this layout.

I will add a GND layer to the inner layer of the board to act as a shield.

If you have any recommendations on whether GND1 or GND2 is better for this shield, please let me know.

Regards,

MESH

  • Hi MESH,

I think GND1 would be better for this shield since likely noise would be coming from the high voltage domain. With this shield, they should be OK to be on either side of the PCB.

We do have AMC1400 and AMC1411 products on newer technology if you are interested.

What type of application is this for?

  • Hi Alexander,

    Thank you for your reply.

I will use GND1 for shield on internal board layer.

The application is industrial measurement circuit.

    Regards,

    MESH
