I have a single-sided PCB and would like to know if it is better to route the feedback network trace (pin 1 to 4):

  1. Under the THS4281 on layer 1 or
  2. Around the Vcc bypass cap or voltage reference (increasing loop area)

I have the SOT-23 package

    You can route the feedback trace under the DUT on layer one; I assume this would be for unity gain (buffer, G = +1V/V) without a feedback resistor?  

    If you share your circuit I can help make a recommendation.

    You are already aware of the limitations and trade-offs of a single layer board, especially for high-speed signals.  Our EVM reference boards and reference designs are commonly 4-layer boards (signal, GND, power, signal/power).

    We also have the OPA863A which is a pin to pin replacement for the THS4281, if you would like to evaluate using a newer device with lower operating current (Iq), lower noise, and higher DC precision.
