LMC6482: LMC6482 PCN change causing impedance changes

Part Number: LMC6482

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

Per the PCN# 20231114005.1, the LMC6482 has FBA, process and wafer diameter change. we recently received the new version device, the pin impedance is difference with the old version. will this affect the function?

  • Hi IRIS,

we recently received the new version device, the pin impedance is difference with the old version.

I am not sure how you determine the differences in the input impedances. If this is determined by DMM, then this method is not valid. The difference in input impedance measured by DMM can only indicate that the two op amps are different (e.g. different FAB process), not the functionality.

The new op amp's functionality is the equivalent to the old one and FAB. There may be some slight differences due to FAB change, but they should perform nearly identical in your application.

If you have an application circuit for the LMC6482, I can take a look and provide some comments about the circuit.

    Best,

    Raymond
