INA238-Q1: Microampere current measurement through INA238 Linux Driver

Part Number: INA238-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

Through current below link driver, we can measure mA current range, but we have a need to measure microampere range. So, what changes need to be done for measuring microampere current through current linux driver. Please let us know modification in driver level.

Please find link for current driver: ina238.c « hwmon « drivers - kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git - Linux kernel source tree

Regards,

Virali.

  • Hi Virali,

We do not provide code support, but if you want to measure in the microamp range then you need to lower your shunt resistor. Alternatively, reduce the maximum current range you are sensing. Section 7.1.2 of the DS gives more detail on this.
