Part Number: INA216
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMG5126

Tool/software:

Hi Team

my customer want to use INA216 and LMG5126

https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lmg5126.pdf?ts=1749432209904&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Fproduct%252Fzh-tw%252FLMG5126

use same Rshunt.

do you think it's fine for this application? I think the accuracy may be influenced

  • Brian,

Yes, you can utilize the same shunt here as the customer, but you are correct there will be a slight hit to accuracy. From the LMG5126, there will be bias current flow to the CSA/CSB pins:

This current will flow across the shunt resistor and introduce an additional error to the INA216. Apart from this added error, this topology should be fine.
