THS4541: VCM current consumption

Hi,

pls. provide the current consumption of the VCM connected to THS4541.

one pin of the ADS5296A drive 8 units of the THS4541 and I need to know if additional op amp is needed.

attached the schematic.

    Hello Zeev,

    The input bias current of the THS4541 VCM pin is listed with a typical value of 0.1uA.

    The output current drive capability of the VCM pin on the ADS5296A is listed as 5mA, which will be more than needed.  You should be alright to implement 8x THS4541 FDAs with a single ADS5296A VCM reference pin.

    If you are concerned about robustness or would like to include an optional common-mode buffer amplifier, please let me know and I can help assist with a recommendation.

    Overall I do not recommend a buffer as necessary for this design case.
