OPA593: OPA593 can work at vcc=12v and vee=-52v?

Part Number: OPA593

Tool/software:

HI , see the sch , is it OPA593 can work at vcc=12v and vee=-52v , input -19.68v , and want to get -19.68v*2.3= 45.246V , is it ok ? thanks.

  • Clemens is correct, the OAP593 can use the supply rails you have selected.

Remember, the output transistors do not know where electrical GND is. This means you can set your supplies as desired (so long as you follow the ABS MAX conditions)

The OPA593 is somewhat unique because the device does have a common pin for referencing the digital circuit to. Most users set this to DGND for use with a microcontroller.

One last detail: make sure the thermal pad is soldered to V-. The best way to design this is to use a large pour for V- on layer 1, ensuring you have good thermal connection to the PCB.

This is a good representation for what the layout can look like:

Please let me know if you have any questions.
