LMH6514: Minimum (0db) Net Gain

Part Number: LMH6514

Tool/software:

Hello,

I'm looking for help understanding the capabilities of this amplifier.

If I understand correctly, this part first amplifies a signal (gain determined by the internal + external load), then attenuates that amplified signal by 6dB steps. Current through the load is 0.1A/V. Figure 18 shows this relationship, I believe. However, this graph stops at ~40 ohms external.

What I'm wondering is if the amplifier is stable at unity gain, e.i. can I  use it as an attenuator with 6db steps. Is there a lower limit on the output impedance? Alternatively, is there a similar product designed for this purpose?

Also, the datasheet usually lists the internal loads as 200/400 ohms, but the Electrical Characteristics table lists them as 186/370. Are the 200/400 ohm values just rounded off?

Thanks in advance.
