  • Hi Sterling,

Yes, I think that you are referring to this PDN.

The part number 5962-9080902MDA refers to the TLE2064AM, a military-grade, quad JFET-input operational amplifier with specs including 36 V supply, 2 MHz bandwidth, and 1.5 mV offset voltage, which is 14-pin CFP (W) and the full military temperature range.

In addition, inquiring about availability and Year to End of Life for this Amplifier.

  • Raymond:

I am showing on my Silicon Expert application of YTEOL for this amplifier of 7.9yrs. Is this correct? My other application Accuris/Parts Intelligence is showing as discontinued. TI website showing that part is active. Could you please let me know for sure what is going on with this part. I see the PDN# 20230907001.3 from TI with a Last Date to Order: 7Sept2024 and Last Date to Ship: 7Mar2025. The last day to ship has gone and past as TI/Silicon Expert showing that "ACTIVE"? Has there been since the PDN notification above a rescind of this PDN that i dont know about and that TI will continue to support this part? Please advise. Regards, Sterling Sanders

  • Hi Sterling,

TI website showing that part is active. Could you please let me know for sure what is going on with this part. I see the PDN# 20230907001.3 from TI with a Last Date to Order: 7Sept2024 and Last Date to Ship: 7Mar2025.

You are correct that TLE2064 is active due to the change of new FAB process. However, this implies to Non-MIL certified op amps only.

    https://mm.digikey.com/Volume0/opasdata/d220001/medias/docus/5733/PCN20231130004.1.pdf

The TLE2064AM is Mil-certified op amp and design, and the process and performance specification can not be changed easily without rigorous qualification and certification. Thus, TLE2064AM op amps remains in the previous FAB process, and the FAB process is being shutdown as PCN implies.

The inventory in TI E-store indicates the total inventory for the certified TLE2064AM op amps. Since the old FAB will be shutdown, the existing op amp inventory may require to have the last time buy, if customers do not want to change the existing design and/or go through product re-certification requirements or process.

I see the PDN# 20230907001.3 from TI with a Last Date to Order: 7Sept2024 and Last Date to Ship: 7Mar2025. The last day to ship has gone and past as TI/Silicon Expert showing that "ACTIVE"?

I hope that you understand the differences between commercial product vs. aerospace/military product cycles. The demand in military grade op amps will be a lot lower than commercial grades; and the FAB process, qualification, quality control, product traceability, certification etc. for mil-grade products are totally different. You may not be able to use commercial TLE2064 op amps for aerospace/defense/Mil applications in this case. So the "ACTIVE" status in TLE2064 is only applicable to the commercial product.

If you have other questions, please let me know.

    Best,

    Raymond
