XTR111: Request for Reference Design: 3-wire Transmitter for IEPE Vibration Sensor to 4–20mA Output

Part Number: XTR111
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV9002, OPA2333, OPA197, OPA378

Tool/software:

Hello,

I need to design a 3-wire transmitter that converts the voltage signal from an IEPE-type vibration acceleration sensor into a 4–20 mA current signal. The parameters of the IEPE sensor are:

  • Sensitivity: 100 mV/g

  • Range: 80 g peak

  • Excitation current: 2–10 mA

  • Excitation voltage: 18–30 VDC

  • Bias output voltage: 12 VDC

The output 4–20 mA current should correspond to vibration velocity, in the range of 0–25.4 mm/s, with a frequency range of 10 Hz to 1 kHz.

The signal chain I plan to use is:
IEPE sensor → amplifier → RMS converter → XTR111 → 4–20 mA output

From what I understand, components like OPA378 / OPA2333, TLV9002, OPA197, and XTR111 might be suitable for this design.

Could you please provide a reference design for the complete signal chain, including a schematic diagram and the key component specifications?

Thank you very much!
