XTR106: XTR106UA/2K5 Reliability Data

Part Number: XTR106
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA1637, ULQ2003A

Tool/software:

I downloaded the XTR106UA/2K5 Reliability Data document and under the Qualification Summary does this mean that the actual device has been subjected to the tests indicated?

  • Hi Brian,

Are you talking about these set of tests?

    All the best,
    Carolina

  • Hello Carolina,

Yes those are the tests I'm referring to.

    Regards,

    Brian

  • Hello Brian,

Understood, these tests are stress tests on the device.

As part of our release process, we stress tests the device to see if there will be indication of failure over the lifetime of the device - better described in this page: Reliability | TI.com

As the page states: "All TI products undergo qualification and reliability testing or qualification by similarity justification prior to release."
A representative set of devices go through the stress tests, the device that the customer receives does not go through the stress tests.

The device the customer receives does go through final test to ensure datasheet compliance. Final test is a set of tests that measure max/min specs of device's electrical characteristics table - this test does not stress the part.

    All the best,
    Carolina

  • Carolina,

Understood but are the published qualification summary results for tests performed on the XTR106UA/2K5 itself, or are they qualification by similarity of another device? The report doesn't explicitly say, or differentiate either way in the table, hence my question.

  • Hi Brian,

    Okay - gotcha.

The XTR106UA/2K5 was recently PCN'ed earlier this year, customers will have received this notification - here is the Digikey version: Introduction

The qualification results are available on Page 3:

As you can see, tests E2, E4 and E5 were performed on XTR106 device.
The design process was qual by similarity from the OPA1637 device.
The package was qual by similarity from the ULQ2003A - Q1 device.

    All the best,
    Carolina

  • Carolina,

I did receive this PCN from Mr. Clifton and your correct in that the package was qualified by similarity for those tests indicated. But now the qualification summary of the XTR106UA/2K5 which you showed earlier (and repeated below) shows the tests performed.

My question is, are the qualification summary of the device performed specifically on the XTR106UA or are they qualification by similarity?

    Regards,

    Brian

  • Hi Brian,

The blue highlight is qualification by similarity and yellow is performed on XTR106UA/2K5

    All the best,
    Carolina

  • Thank you Carolina!  This is very helpful and appreciate all the support.
