THS3215: How to use THS3215

Part Number: THS3215

Tool/software:

I want to convert a differential 100 ohm signal to a single-ended 50 ohm signal and input it to a
ADC. Can I use a THS3215 with a single power supply?
The output is about 40MHz at about 1Vpp at 50 ohms.
If there is another easy way, please let me know.
If possible, I would like to use a single power supply + 5V.
Thank you very much!

  • Hi,

This device can be used in a single supply configuration. However the minimum voltage required is 8V. We have a single-supply configuration we recommend in the datasheet on page 57. AC coupling would be required and the signals would then be biased to mid-supply with a reference voltage that can also be created with the chip.

    Best Regards,
