TLV9062-Q1: Strange power up waveform

Part Number: TLV9062-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV9062

Tool/software:

Hi expert,

My customer (Enpower) found a strange power up waveform as below, please help to explain. Thanks.

  • Test condition:
    • IN+: Float
    • IN-: Float
    • V+: 5V
    • Vout: Trapezoidal waveform as below

Best Regards,

Ryker

  • Ryker,

Just curious about what float means. True float would be nothing, not even a circuit board trace.  Anyway inputs are not driven; the TLV9062 inputs are high impedance so they could pick up any airborne signals including the output pin that is near inverting input pin. In your case the predominant source is AC line frequency 50/60Hz.  Do not try to leverage this circuit result in a real application; it is highly undependable.
