OPA462: OPA462 Connection

Part Number: OPA462
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: XTR300, , OPA454, OPA455,

Tool/software:

Hi,

I plan to use OPA462 to build my Howland circuit. I have previously used XTR300 to design my current source, but when the load is large, the rise time is large, so I am going to use OPA462. I have attached a link to a previous question I asked in the forum regarding XTR300 for your convenience.

I would like to know the following two questions:

1. Can I drive the OPA462 at ±24V if I want to output ±14mA, with a frequency of 5K and a load of up to 1.5K. I did a Tina simulation and it shows it is feasible, and I want to confirm whether this design is reasonable. If I later want to drive a larger load with the same current, do I just need to increase the power supply?

2. For the connections for pins 1, 5, 8 and the powerPAD, can I just connect 1, 5, 8 directly to ground and the powerPAD to my -24V?

Best,

Junzhe
