Tool/software:
Hi,
We are evaluating an LLC resonant converter using the UCC25660, and we have encountered a MOSFET failure due to high inrush current at startup.
We would appreciate your guidance on the following points:
-
What could be the possible causes of excessive current flowing through the MOSFET during startup?
-
Are there any recommended design practices to prevent such failures (e.g., proper soft-start configuration, gate resistance, VCC voltage clamping, snubber circuit, etc.)?
Thanks,
Conor
