LM358: LM358 Date Code Markings

Part Number: LM358

Tool/software:

I have been search in the TI's web site look for how to decode the date code marking on an amplifier and I keep getting only the data sheet which I have not found  how to decode the the date code marking. where can I find this information

  • Hi ED,

Under the LM358's part number on the 2nd line, there are 2 digits followed by a letter. Assume the two digital indicates 37, for instance, it was packaged in July, 2023 likely.

The attached image above indicates it is packed on Aug., 2022 likely.

If you have other questions, please let me know.

    Best,

    Raymond

  • That was not what I had in mind. I have two LM358P one with date code 24A067M and another with 44A272M. I looking for a document that explains the coding not just the code of these. That does me no good,  what if I get a 3rd number, how do I decode that. Surely TI has this document.

  • Hi ED,

The date code is proprietary information and we do not publish the information for our customers.

24A067M indicates the op amp is packed in April, 2022, where the first two digits indicate YM.

44A272M indicates the op amp  is packed in April, 2024, where the first two digits indicate YM.

LM358P, where P indicates an 8-pin through hole or PDIP package. Two silk screen lines are printed on the top surface + pin-1 indicator (dot).

If you have other questions, please let us know.

    Best,
