Part Number: THS4021
Tool/software:
Hi
This is probably a daft question but Ive picked up a old design which I have been tasked to fix. The previous designer has powered the THS4021 amplifier using a dual supply of +22 and -5V, I believe they have done this as they are using it to tune the voltage of a VCO (-0.25 to 22V)
The datasheet states the amplifier can run off a single supply up to 33V or a dual supply of +/-16.5V, the dual supply being symmetrical about the center. Does the THS4021 allow for an offset supply? It seems to work but goes against what the datasheet states, does running it like this shorten the like of the component or is it ok so long as it is kept within the 33 volt window?
Many thanks
