OPA695: OPA695

Part Number: OPA695

Tool/software:

Hi

We are looking to use OPA695 in our new design with unity gain and up to 100mA drive for 0V-5V input and up to 100 MHz signal speed.

1. Can this part support output swing between 0V-5V with 100mA and up to 100 MHz speed and what power supply we need to give to OPA695 to get 0V-5V output swing.

2. Does this part provide true high impedance (Tristate) output when it is disabled through DIS pin?

Best regards

  • Hi Ishwar,

This device should be capable of outputting a 0V to 5V signal and source 100mA. The large signal 3dB bandwidth of this device at 4Vopp is ~450MHz, however if you expect no attenuation of this signal, a 5Vpp signal at 100MHz would be towards the limit of this device. Given that you should expect variation in any ac specification like large signal bandwidth, testing this on an evm would be ideal to confirm it meets your performance requirements. If it is leading to attenuation or any sort of distortion at the output, there are faster options. To account for headroom and common-mode input range, I would say -2V on VEE and 7V on VCC would be sufficient. Regarding your second question, the output does go into high impedance when the device is disabled.

    Best Regards,
