Tool/software:
Hi,
If I order TLV1701 as TLV1701AIDBVT.B, does that guarantee a NiPdAu finish?
If I order TLV1701 as TLV1701AIDBVT, does that mean I could get a NiPdAu or Sn finish?
Thanks,
Andrew

Hello Andrew,
Yes. Ordering TLV1701AIDBVT, you can possibly get both finishes - depending on which site the devices were assembled (China or Philippines are primary assembly sites).
For now, yes, ordering the TLV1701AIDBVT.B would get you NiPdAu as that is the finish for the Philippines assembly site.
However, this does NOT guarantee that you will always get the same finish. There are other assembly sites that could be used in the future and they may have different finishes.
You would need to work with your distributor or order directly with TI to order from a specific site for a specific finish.
Thanks, Paul. Can you share how we would order from a specific site if procuring from TI directly? Is there any other method of guaranteeing NiPdAu finish for this PN?
I see you work for a large company. You would need to contact your field sales or account rep so they can work with our planners to place the order.
Or you will need to contact TI customer support to set up a special order. The general TI.com ordering process cannot select particular flows without inside help.
The Automotive version TLV1701QDBVRQ1 is NiPdAu only.
If you can use the smaller SC-70 package, the TLV1701AIDCKRG4 only comes in NiPdAu and the "G4" guarantees it.
Sorry for the multiple posts...I pasted the wrong automotive part then got locked-up. Fixed below.
