We should get the curve form of OPA4991's operation frequency and power consumption. could you help on the case?

  • Hi Charlie,

You need to provide us the op amp's gain and op amp configuration and load requirements. Without these information, I am unable to answer your questions.

GBWP determines the operational frequency of the op amp. The op amp's load determines the power consumption, where load can be resistive, resistive/capacitive, inductive or complex load. The power consumption can be simulation. However, OPA4991 is not a power amplifier, so generally it is not a concern.

OPA4991 has Isc, short circuit current shown below, which means that it can delivery 60-70% of Isc depending on the Tamb and heat dissipation setup.

As Tamb increases, the current delivery capabilities also diminish, and op amp's output voltage swing also decreases. So you have to taken into account all these variables.
