TLV9104-Q1: Inquiry About Maximum Slew Rate and Variability of TLV9104-Q1

Part Number: TLV9104-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear TI Support Team,

I am currently evaluating the TLV9104-Q1 operational amplifier for use in an automotive application.

While the datasheet specifies a typical slew rate of 4.5 V/µs, I could not find any information

regarding the maximum slew rate, process variation, or temperature dependence of this parameter.

Could you please provide additional details or characterization data regarding:

  1. The maximum slew rate observed across production or under worst-case conditions.
  2. The expected variation in slew rate due to manufacturing tolerances.
  3. The temperature dependence of the slew rate (e.g., behavior at -40°C and +125°C).

If available, a characterization graph or application note would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Ryosuke Suzuki

  • Ryosuke,

The room temperature slew-rate is set by the sheet-resistance and sheet-capacitance.  These two parameters have a ±15% room temperature tolerance each, so the overall worst case is ±15%.  However the probability of both the sheet-resistance and sheet-capacitance being at the worst case is extremely small (±6*sigma or 1 in 506,797,345.9).  A more realistic worst case is ±20%.

Over temperature, slew-rate is set by the tail current and Miller capacitance (IT/CC).  The tale current for this device is constant across temperature, so the main drift in slew-rate is due to the sheet-capacitance temperature coefficient.  Across 125C variation you can expect about ±15% drift worst case.
