TAS5825M: TAS5825M IC thermal data while use 2 pcs of 5W(4ohm) speaker

Hi,

We have a new project and will design TAS5825M, current we are checking the thermal data from this chip.

(1)Our design will use 2 pcs 5W(4ohm) speaker, the PVDD will use 12V, may I know how much the thermal data from IC itself. and how the formula to get it.

(2) Does it has thermal solution document?

It's a little bit urgent, please help to it soon, thanks a lot.

    Hello,

    We can not calculate the thermal performance of the IC as this is heavily dependent on the layout of the board. Please check out section "10.4 Layout" in the TAS5825M Datasheet for layout recommendations. 

    I'd recommend getting an EVM to test the thermal performance with your application specific settings. Given the thermal performance is satisfactory, you can reference the EVM layout when developing your board.
