ISO224: ISO224

Part Number: ISO224

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am using your ISO224ADWVR isolation amplifier in my circuit and experiencing clamping issues at the input, basically because the input voltage (from an output of another part of my circuit) is larger than the +5V applied to VDD1, which initially was not supposed to be the case. Anyhow, your data sheet says the high side (isolated) ranges from 4.5-18V. My question is, can +12V be applied to the high side (VDD1) and +5V (as it is currently) be  applied to the low side (VDD2)? The circuit will produce up to +10V at the ISO224 input (IN).

Thanks,

Kevin

  • Hi Kevin,

If your circuit is operating withing the recommended operating conditions it should be fine. What are the clamping issues you are seeing? Did you take any scope shots? Please let me know so we can better advise.

    Best regards,
