TAS6584-Q1: audio clipping

hello all,

we are using TAS6584 chips in our project. during high volume testing, clipping is seen at the amplifier output. we have checked the i/p signal from DSP to the internal amplifier and its clean. 

 i have enabled PVDD foldback in DSP_CTRL_2 register, but nothing is changed. still clipping is still seen.

is there any way to avoid the clipping?

    Ranitha,

    The clipping is occurring due to the signal being too large for the PVDD.  PVDD foldback will only work to adjust the gain when PVDD reduces for some reason.  This best way to eliminate clipping is to adjust the analog gain so that at 0dBFS the amplifier is unable to clip.
