Hi,

Can we use this EVM to generate frequency of about 5Hz. Also could you say what is the frequency response of this EVM

    Hello,

    As this is an audio device it is only validated within the audio band (20 Hz - 20 kHz) so we can only guarantee functionality in this range, but I do believe the device can output down to 5 Hz. The main issue at this low frequency that could begin is running into DC detection faults.

    Is there any possibility to output 5Hz without fault detection?

    Also could you suggest other amplifier that has frequency response from 5Hz range

    Hello,

    Sure. I believe at 5 Hz the device won't trigger DC Detect, but I more so just wanted to make sure you were aware that operating down at lower frequencies not far from where you are operating can trigger DC Detect. The datasheet specifies that the output must remain at a constant value for more than 420 ms to trigger DC Detect so 5 Hz should be okay. Depending on your load you should also be aware of OC possibilities. 

    In general though I do recommend testing this on our EVM. It could be the case that you do not run into either issue, I just want to make sure you are aware of the possibilities as you go into testing. Slight smile
