USB2ANY: Cannot connect via I2C

Hello,

I am working with the MCF8329A and MCT8329A gate drivers to run a BLDC motor, and I am using the USB2ANY interface adapter (firmware version 2.8.2.0) to connect with their respective GUIs in Motor Studio.

I have connected the J4 IDC cable, wiring SDA, SCL, and GND correctly to pins 6, 9, and 10 of the IDC header. However, the device is still not being recognized in Motor Studio.

Could you please advise what might be causing this issue or if there are additional steps required for establishing communication?

    Hi Ashwin,

    Motor studio doesn't support USB2ANY interface adapter to communicate with MCF8329A device.

    Please use the MCF8329A EVM's onboard USB-I2C converter circuit to communicate with your MCF8329A device using Motor Studio.

    Remove SCL and SDA jumpers from EVM's J9 connector, connect your MCF8329A I2C lines to the EVM's J9 connector MSP_SCL & MSP_SDA pins.
