TPA2012D2: Amplifier for 6Ohm 3W speaker

Hi TI suport,

I am working on gaming audio chat device and looking for a class D amplifier.
My speaker is rated at 3W, 6Ohm and provides 102dB SPL at 1000Hz @ 3.87Vrms,BK,10CM,3CC

Also our device is powered by lithium battery 3.7V nominal voltage, and I am having analog input.

Can you please suggest a suitable amplifier?

Hi Ansar,

The highest power options for analog input devices in low voltage range are TPA2011D1 without boost and LM48511 with boost.
Since your voltage is around 3.7V I think you may be better with the boosted one LM48511.

So does TPA2011D1 fits my requirement?
Even though I am using 3.7V VCC, my speaker is able to give me 102dB SPL at 1000Hz @ 3.87Vrms.

Hi Ansar,

TPA2011D1 can support max 3.2W but it is based on 4 ohm and 5V VDD. you can find details below.

in your user case, I think you have to use 5.5V VDD to do test with your speaker to check whether it can meet your output target.
