TRF37D73: variable gain

Tool/software:

TRF37D73 has a separate pin that looks like bias (pad 1) but it says in the datasheet that it has to be connected to VDD.

Can I regulate amplifier gain by varying that voltage?

You could be right in this, but the amplifier has not been validated in this configuration. I would use attenuators on the input and output for a fixed gain option, or if a VGA is necessary, take a look at the LMH6401 and our other VGA's: https://www.ti.com/product-category/rf-microwave/rf-amplifiers/rf-vga/products.html
