hi Team

I was checking for newer alternatives vs. TLC27M4.

The TLV9104 datasheet doesn`t specify maximum values of input bias current.

Could you comment about that (possible) difference?

  • Hi Andreas,

The TLV9104 datasheet doesn`t specify maximum values of input bias current.

Ib in TLC27M4 is shown below (25C and 70C).

Ib in TLV9104 is shown below at 25C.

TLV9104 did not specify the max. Ib current. The first-order rule of thumb is that the input bias/leakage current is typically double for every 10C increasing (Tj, junction temperature). Depending on the application's operating condition, the Ib can increase up to 100s pA or even nA.

The Ib values depend on the supply voltage rail as well. The image below is TLV9104's typical Ib current over temperature. Based on the plot, I think that Ib in both parts are comparable (may be slightly better). The typical value in TLV9014's datasheet is specified at the wider input voltage range at 25C, not specific low voltage range as in TLV27M4 op amp.
