Hello,

For our new design (4-channel PA power amp), I’m planning to use the TPA3255TDDVRQ1 chip.

I started this design with the datasheet and evaluation board documents learning. Immediately I found conflicting info.

I’m talking about the GVDD inputs. Regarding the datasheet, the absolute maximum rating is 11.4V. Regarding the evaluation board schematic, the GVDD is 12V. What number is correct? Thanks.

    Mark,

    You are most likely using the TPA3255EVM which is a non-automotive grade device.  The Abs Max on GVDD on this device is 13.2Vdc.  The GVDD is derated on the automotive device to meet the thermal requirements for automotive devices.
