Tool/software:
Hello,
I'm designing a board where a same signal is amplified by two identical and redundant VCA822 amplifiers.
G = 10, Rf = 1k, Rg = 200R
The outputs of these amplifiers are then compared.
I'm using the range -0.8V < Vg < 1V.
On the VCA82 datasheet, I can read gain deviations of 2.2dB max. So amplification deviation is ar; 28% (A = 10^(2.2/20) = 1.28)
28% deviation is quite big, and make comparison difficult to achieve.
What does these 2.2dB gain variation represent?
The nonlinearity of the gain as a function of the control voltage Vg?
Or the gain difference between the components?
