XTR111: sch review for AO accuracy optimization

Part Number: XTR111

Tool/software:

For certain output values, the AO accuracy does not meet the one-thousandth requirement. This is likely related to the board-level design. Please help review the board-level design for potential optimizations.XTR111AIDGQR_sch_review.pdf

  • Hi Frank,

Thank you for providing the schematic details. I will start to review the schematic but in the meantime, could you clarify the issue statement a bit further? Which output values are you seeing accuracy issues with? And how is the accuracy measured? Is the output of the XTR measured directly or is this system level measurements?

    Regards,
    Ashley

  • hi Ashley:

thanks a lot! There are 8 XTR111s on our board. We used a benchtop high-precision ammeter to measure the output at the board terminals. Attached is our measurement result. Please let me know if there is anything else you need to know.

  • Hi Frank,

Thank you for sending the additional information. Could you elaborate where the PWM signal is coming from and if the input was measured while taking the output measurements?

    Regards,
    Ashley

  • hi Ashley
the pwm is coming from fpga and we have not measure the pwm very carefilly, Can you tell me which parameters of the PWM to measure? I'll go and measure them.

  • Hi Frank,

Could you measure the voltage input of XTR111 at TP66? And correspond to the output voltage across the load that was measured.

I was wondering where the PWM signal was originating from as usually it is from a MCU or something similar.

    Regards,
    Ashley
