OPA2131: Output behaviour

Part Number: OPA2131

Tool/software:

Hello,

We have detected a change in the output value of the OPA2131UA component with the same inputs, which is now causing failures during in-circuit testing.
Upon investigation, we noted that the output voltage of the new components is significantly closer to the supply voltage compared to the older components, showing a difference of more than 1V in the output value.
Could you please confirm if this behavior is expected?
Thanks,
Andres
  • Hi Andres,

Can you expand more on the testing conditions of your output voltage test? Are you forcing an input voltage? What are the supply voltages?

This device went through a design change recently, so you may have received a newer device. The PCN for this design can be found here. However, the device should perform to the datasheet parameters or higher. The device has an updated ESD structure, which is likely why your ICT test is failing. Section 6.1 of this app note discusses how updates to ESD structures can affect the ICT results in a system level test.

    Best regards,
    Carrie
