OPA2863A: What is the noise immunity resistance

Part Number: OPA2863A

Tool/software:

Hi all,

In the EMS test, there was a circuit malfunction of the VCC power supply system around 80 MHz, so we are trying to figure out the cause and countermeasures.

We are checking whether the power supply system is malfunctioning in the EMS test.

Q1: How does the OPA2863A withstand noise immunity?

Q2: Is there any external countermeasure? If there is any other countermeasure for noise, please let me know.

Best Regards,

Ryusuke

  • Hi Ryusuke,

I assume we are discussing power supply noise. Amplifiers will have some power supply noise immunity (PSRR) but I am not familiar with a device failing directly unless there are some spikes or large dips turning off the device. As far as external measures we recommend decoupling capacitors or a pi filter configuration using an inductor. Ideally this would be used to filter out noise and keep the supplies at their expected DC value during large transients. Just for some clarity, are you seeing a failure in our device when running an 80MHz signal and the concern is supply noise?

    Best Regards,
