LMC660: LMC660AIM vs LMC660AIMX

Part Number: LMC660

My company has been using the LMC660AIM/NOPB for years. I see in the Package Option Addendum that it is obsolete and that you have the LMC660AIMX/NOPB, LMC660AIMX/NOPB.A and LMC660AIMX/NOPB.B. There is no description in the datasheet of the differences between these parts. Can you tell me what they are?

While looking at this I also noticed that the datasheet on your website and the one I downloaded last year are both Rev D, with identical revision histories - and yet they are different! From the Package Option Addendum onward many pages are updated. This can be confusing. Please don't do this.

Thanks.

  • Hi John,

These products are the same but come in a different carrier types. The LMC660AIM/NOPB is delivered in a tube, which is obsolete, while the LMC660AIMX/NOPB is available in tape and reel. There is no difference between the LMC660AIMX/NOPB.A and LMC660AIMX/NOPB.B.

The package option addendum changes based on what packages are active, which changes separately from the body of the datasheet. For example, if we change the formatting of a datasheet to our latest formatting standards, we would release a new version of the datasheet with a new revision letter with updated revision history, but this is separate from the package option addendum.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Best Regards,

    Alex Curtis
