LMH5401: Differential Input to Single ended Output

Part Number: LMH5401

Im trying to use the LMH5401 as an differential to single end converter from DC up to 2GHz. As far as I understand it, its possible to use the LMH5401 for High frequencys by using it like this: Differential to Single ended-v4_lds.pdf . But is it possible to convert also for DC?
Thanks in advance.

  • Hi there,

The LMH5401 can be used in diff so single, but as outlined in the paper, degrades its harmonic performance. You can still use it to pass DC as well, but you may need to do some external biasing depending on the DC voltage required and your power supplies available. The best way to evaluate in this config is to purchase the LMH5401EVM and terminate one output with connectorized 50 ohms. Then you can ensure that it will work for your application.

Thanks and let me know if you have any further questions,
