TLV7211A: Issues with the TLV7211A

Part Number: TLV7211A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV7211

 Hi team

The customer uses TLV7211 to design comparative circuits, and this project has been mass-produced multiple times. However, using the latest batch of TLV7211 (2422+5) will result in more defective products (abnormal output status of the comparison circuit), The failure rate  is pretty high (reaching 80%). I have attached the schematic for this comparative circuit. Can you please help provide any suggestion that might cause this  issue? Thank you!

  • Hello Eric,

The TLV7211 family has undergone a PCN to change the die after March 2024. The "2422"  datecode would place it into the "new die" category (we would need the full datecode to make sure - but a immediate high failure rate among one batch is a sure sign).

If operated within the datasheet specifications, there should not be a difference. The new die meets or exceeds the old die specifications. The basic functionality should be the same. I do not immediately see anything in the schematic that would cause concern.

We would need a better description of the failure and/or scope photos or measurements of the good and bad behaviors.
