AMC0300D: Availability schedule

Part Number: AMC0300D

Hi,

The newly added AMC0200 (Q1) / AMC0300 (Q1) would fit an application I have very nicely, eliminating some BoM components. It doesn't look like these are stocked or available for backorder through TI. Is there a tentative schedule of when these might be available for prototype hardware or production?

Best,

Nick

  • Hi Nick,

    What is your application?

The AMC0300 is released, and you should be able to order them.  The AMC0200 isn't fully released yet, but you should be able to get a few units of them.  How many units of each part are you trying to order?

    Thanks.

  • Apologies for the delayed response. I'm looking for a sensitive isolated current sense for a relatively high shunt resistance - is the AMC0300D able to achieve this? For the most part I see examples of lower (0.1-1 Ohm) shunt resistances. I need something that can do 1k or greater

  • Hi Nick,

You are using a 1k shunt resistor?  What currents are you trying to measure?  The AMC0200/AMC0300 are meant for current sensing applications.  If you are measuring voltages, I would a voltage sensing device like the AMC0311 instead.

    Thanks

  • I don't want to get into too many specifics on the public forum, but I'm sensing currents in the sub micro-amp range. I had an INA into isolated voltage amplifier architecture, but the isolated amp was the limiting factor in my performance. This new part looked a little more direct and performant if I can get it to work.
