INA230: VBUS accuracy

Part Number: INA230

Hi Team,

Posting on behalf of our customer.

what is the Vbus accuracy on INA230?

From spec, GBERR shows the 0.3%.

Our VBUS pin connect 3.3V +/-5%.

The MAX tolerance on sensing = (actual voltage ± Vos) × (1 ± GERR) = (3.3*1.05+0.015) × 1.003 = 3.49V

I want to know if my calculate is true or not.

since this Formula reference from other ticket.

Regards,

Danilo

  • Hello Danilo,

The offset voltage is not affected by the gain error, so the actual equation for worst case error from gain and offset would be this:

    MAX tolerance = (actual voltage * (1 ± GERR)) ± Vos = (3.3 * 1.003) + 0.015 = 3.3249V

    Regards,

    Mitch
