ALM2403Q1EVM: Requesting for Technical Information

Part Number: ALM2403Q1EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALM2403-Q1

Hi Team,

We have a customer requirement for X-ray inspection of one of our PCBA at the ZALA site.

To ensure that the components are not damaged during inspection, please provide the recommended X-ray settings as below for for the attached list.

Alternatively, please confirm whether using the following settings for PCBA inspection would pose any risk of component damage:

Voltage: 130 kV

Current: 280 uA

Exposure Time: less than 1 minute

Target Dose: <191 kGy

Flex Zala MPN :

TPS1H000AQDGNRQ1

  • Hi Hemamalika,

I specifically support the ALM2403-Q1, therefore I will not necessarily be able to comment on the remaining devices in the list.

The ALM2403-Q1 is not evaluated for X-ray exposure tolerance.

TI does have a blanket statement:

    https://www.ti.com/support-quality/reliability/reliability-home.html

    X-RAY information

TI does not typically specify acceptable x-ray levels on the device datasheet. Experience has shown that most TI products will NOT be sensitive to typical x-ray inspection (with typical exposures < 100 rad(Si)). X- ray exposures over these limits, however, may cause damage to the device and should be avoided.

I do not believe any of the other devices will have specified X-ray settings, so the general statement above will likely hold true. You are able to reach the responsible teams for the other devices by creating a new thread with each of the respective parts.

    Thanks,

    Jacob
