i have a dbx driverack pa and i want to change my op amp for better op amp.
inside i have four 4580 jrc and i want change by Lme49720.
do you think it compatible or do you have a better choice for remplace the 4580 jrc.

It has a specific recommendation on substitution of the 4580. In addition, it has advice on risks and rewards of this type of substitution.

I don't have a DriveRack, but I have a host of other dbx equipment. I have used both OPA2209 and OPA1612 as replacements in my units with no complications. They both draw less current than the LME49720, so they are less taxing on the power supply of units. Most modern dbx gear has adequate supply bypassing as a part of the design, but this is something that needs to be checked, as well as the difference in current draw with any change. Of course, crazy things can happen when you swap op amps, so it's an "at your own risk" proposition. Goes without saying, though. Good luck!
