TL3472: Oscillation by IC after PCN issuance

Part Number: TL3472
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA2992

HI,

I made a voltage follower circuit using TL3472. VS=18V, 3kHz, and 0V-15V rectangular wave is input. When I replaced the IC with the one after PCN issuance, the output signal oscillated. After PCN issuance, various contents such as CMOS drive, slew rate, and input capacitance were changed.

Could you tell me the change in the specifications that could be the cause of oscillation?

Best Regards,

Nishie

  • Yuta,

The open-loop output impedance is the change that impacts stability.  The new die has higher open-loop output impedance.  I suggest trying OPA2992 as a substitute.  Alternatively, your circuit could likely be stabilized with additional components or component value modifications.  I can check the circuits stability if you post the complete op amp circuit including any capacitive load.  Stability theory can be found in: https://www.ti.com/lit/wp/sboa626/sboa626.pdf

    Best regards, Art
