  • Below please see the answers to your questions regarding OPA602AP:

    1. Junction Temperature Max (Tj Max)  - maximum junction temperature is shown in the Absolute Maximum rating table on page 2 of PDS - 175C
    2. Typical Power, (Pd typ) - power dissipation is a function of power supply voltage and the output voltage and current; for +/-15V supply and no output load current, the typical power is P=30V*3mA = 90mW
    3. Maximum Power (Pd max)T - in order not to exceed the maximum specified operating junction temperature of 85C in an ambient environment of 25C, the maximum power can be calculated using Theta JA given in the PDS to be 200C/W; P= (85C-25C)/200C/W = 0.3W
    4. Thermal Resistance Junction to Ambient (Theta JA) - 200C/W
    5. Thermal Resistance Junction to Board (Theta JB)  ~ 40C/W           
    6. Thermal Resistance Junction to Case (Theta JC) ~ 60C/W
