Hi TI team,

I would like to clarify the behavior of the LM2903 when the voltage difference between IN+ and IN− is very small.

Please refer to the truth table below.

In my application, I need the output behavior such that both of these conditions result in a LOW output.

Is this behavior achievable with the LM2903?

If not, could you please suggest:

An alternative comparator device, or
An external circuit (for example, hysteresis or other methods) to achieve this requirement?

The sign of the offset voltage is not known.

What are the two input voltages in your circuit? In general, you would achieve such a behaviour by changing the reference voltage. If both inputs are variable, use a summing amplifier to shift one of them.

Perhaps you need a window comparator setup.

Do both inputs move or is one input fixed voltage?
