LMC6041: LMC6041 issue confirmation

Part Number: LMC6041

Dear team,

LMC6041IMX is used for TIA circuits with a maximum gain of 500G.

The LMC6041 was packaged with plugins before, but later the plugins were discontinued and replaced with surface mount packaging, causing problems.

Operational amplifier power supply+6V, -4V.

Input+2V, amplify by 2 times in the same direction, normal output+4V. A small portion of abnormal output power is on the right track+6V.

Is it related to the new operational amplifier manufacturing process and parameter changes?

Please help confirm the reason, thank you!

    Hello,

    500G is very high TIA gain, you need to be very careful regarding leakage currents on the board.  We have a good app. note that describes the measurements and challenges of low current measurements here

    With that being said, I'm not sure if you saying there is a problem with the material, or a problem with the new package?

    Surface mound packaging can certainly lead to more leakage on a board.  If this is the first time they have designed the board with a new package, it is most likely the cause of leakage.  The new die should have comparable or lower input bias current than the old die.  Let me know your feedback here and we can dig further.
