TLE2064: TLE2064IDR current consumption vs TLE2064

We have TLE2064I on few legacy products. Since TLE2064I is obsolete, we replace with TLE2064IDR on newer production cards. TI PCN# 20231130004.1 notes change in Die revision and few other changes on TLE2064IDR.

With the new batch of parts, card fails test related to current range. TLE2064IDR parts procured after PCN seem to consume lesser current than earlier. Is that correct?

TI PCN# 20231130004.1 states no Form, Fit, Function change between the new and old parts. I compared datasheets SLOS193C and SLOS193B and did not find any difference. However, I am seeing lower current in practice.

Hello,

You are correct that there was a die revision. The typical Iq for the new device is approximately 120uA per channel or 480uA for a quad op amp in total.

What are the values that you are observing with the old device and the new device?

I am looking at Icc (Supply current) characteristic on the datasheet. Can you confirm that this Icc mentioned is for each individual amplifier within the package?

The Icc for the Quad package would be 4 x Icc? This is what I am observing.

Hello,

Yes that is correct. It is per channel. So if you are observing 4*ICC for a quad then that is lining up with the expected value.
