Part Number: OPA2227
Hi Team,
A customer received OPA2227UA with a MSL rating of 2. However, the MSL on the datasheet and on the TI tool is MSL 3.

Would you kindly confirm this?
Thanks and regards,

Hi Marvin,
The datasheet shows the worst case to cover all manufacturing sites. The label on the units the customer received takes precedence and MSL 2 would be considered an upgrade to MSL3. The label on the devices they received is correct.

Hi Chris,
Thanks! I would like to ask if there is a new manufacturing site? The MSL tool only list one. (pictured above)

Hi Marvin,
This device recently changed processes. During this requalification, we were able to requalify this device to MSL 2 instead of level 3. Since there is still market inventory of the old process, the MSL rating is still labelled 3 on the TI website. However, MSL 2 is the rating for all new devices made, and the customer should not be concerned if they receive shipments with a level 2 rating.
Best regards,
Carrie
