Part Number: LM2903B-Q1
Hi team
Could you please help share what does OUT functional not in speccificaiton means?
what type of failure mode it covers? Does this include output oscillations?
Thanks
Scarlett

Hi Scarlett,
"Out functional not in specification" means that the failure in the device has caused the output transistor to no longer function within spec. In the case of an open-collector comparator like the LM2903B-Q1, this could mean that the IOH-LKG is out of specification where there is significant leakage that causes VOH to be lower than expected, or the VOL going out of specification due to the output transistor being way more resistive.
For comparators, the output may chatter if the inputs are close together such that there are multiple crossings due to noise.
