AMP-PDK-EVM: Using the eval board on comparators

Hello,

I am looking into using the AMP-PDK-EVM to test a few parts. Namely, the OPA4991IDYYR OpAmp, and the TLV1704AQPWRQ1 comparator. My question is if it will work with both. Both parts are 14 pin TSSOP packages, but the AMP-PDK-TSSOP-14 socket seems to only be confiured for the OpAmp. Is there another version of the socket for the comparator device?

    Hi Kyle,

    Note that the TLV1704 has a LM339-type pinout with the outputs on the top and supplies on 3 and 12. Op-amps have outputs on the corners and supplies in the middle.

    The P2P board has fixed supplies on 4 and 11.

    So the boards would not be compatible with the comparator without some major surgery.

    We do not have a "comparator" pinout socket.

    However, we do have some lower-power comparators that have the standard op-amp pinout, such as the TLV7044, TLV and TLV1864. Note that these are nano-power and are much slower than the 1704. These could be used in the op-amp P2P socket.

    We do have DIP adapter boards the bring the leads out 1:1 to a dip socket:

    You could use with pins in a solderless breadboard, or, jumper or "blue wire" to the holes on the board.
