Part Number: THS3491
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,
I am sending this request because I cannot post a question to E2E. When I push a "Ask a new question" button in E2E, the page is moved to this "Contact support" page. I have posted many questions to E2E, but this is the first time I have encountered such an issue. This is causing problems for customer support, so I request this problem be resolved as soon as possible.
===== Post for E2E I'd like to make=====
Hello, Support team
I an designing THS3491 to drive a 50ohm load connected to a 1m coaxial cable in a 50ohm characteristic impedance system. The capacitance of the coaxial cable is assumed to be a 100pF/m for simplicity. The input signal is 250MHz, 1Vpp, and the output is 4Vpp at the 50ohm load. When simulating wiht TINA-TI, the effect of the capacitive load was greater than expected, resulting in a significant narrower bandwidth and reduced amplitude.
- Is this behavior normal?
- How can I reduce the effect of the coaxical cable at the 50ohm load so that the 250MHz signal in not atteuated?
The circuit used for the simulation is attached. (!!! I tried to upload TINA-TI.TSC file several times but failed. Then tried to upload captured .png file or .jpg file but failed.)
Thanks in advance and Best Regards,
Katsuhiro
